Those with means often desire those means on display. While not all mountaintops allow for this style of transportation, those with flatter landscapes feature the rich commissioning these mechanical horses to draw their carriages, oftentimes featuring their family's insignia on either flank. The horses move at a good pace, and oftentimes are even faster due given they hardly ever see traffic. This is not to do with how busy the peaks are, however, this is to do with the fact that those walking about often get out of the way as fast as they can, for fear that these robots will not stop for them. The steeds certainly would stop for them if they didn't move, but the owners aren't complaining with how things currently work.
